Finely crafted and hand-woven of dyed black ash and sweet grass, this Mohawk Indian Pine Cone Basket was handwoven to depict the well-known pinecone.
The black ash used to weave and to make the traditional curls on this basket were dyed a deep, rich reddish brown, with the sweet smelling sweetgrass used to begin the basketweaving, and along the lid and the top rim. An outstanding authentic Mohawk Indian basket to add to your Indian basketry collection.
This authentic Native American Indian basket measures approximately 3" in diameter and 4" tall. A signed and dated ash strip tucked inside includes the basketweaver's name and date (12/01/05), together with her Native American Indian name.
