This fine artist signed and dated hand crafted gourd art basket has been cleaned, dried, pyro-etched and painted in undulating horizontal stripes of metallic gold and deep red, all on a flat black background.
The body of this organic gourd was hand-painted in flat black with its natural color left on the inside, and the entire exterior of the gourd art basket given a light protective coat of polyurethane to protect both the gourd and the fine artistic painting on the front.
The design of this basket gourd art lends itself to many uses. The gourd was dried, thoroughly cleaned on the inside and outside before finishing. Notice that even the top of the gourd rim has been painted in the flat black paint. All pyro-etching was done by hand.

This finely crafted gourd art basket has been signed and dated by the gourd basket artist on the bottom, J. Lindsey of Hickory Valley, Tennessee. The gourd basket measures 7.5" tall, 6" in diameter at the widest (19" in circumference) and has an opening at the top of 3" for an inside diameter.
