Handwoven Colonial Williamsburg Candle Basket
Dark colonial Williamsburg blue and natural rattan reed form the popcorn curls of this hand woven Colonial Williamsburg Hanging Candle Holder Basket by Kathleen Becker.
Darker smoked reed was used to form the initial shape of this candle basket holder, and for the rims and hanging loop of the handle.
This fancy candle basket was designed to be a hanging basket, either hung from a peg or a nail, and can be filled with dried flowers or other items.
The creamy colored natural reed, together with the Wedgwood blue curls lend texture to this hanging basket, who's original design was to hold tapered candles. Today, this handwoven basket lends itself to many uses, limited only by your imagination.
The Hand Woven Country Colonial Williamsburg Hanging Candle Holder Basket measures 5" diameter, 8" high to the rims and 11-1/2" high to the top of the rims. Initialed on the base by the weaver.
