Traditional basket making among Harari women in Ethiopia produce many common-looking grass baskets.
This basket was hand woven by very skilled African / Ethiopian basketweaver, with the wool yarn threads woven into body and lid of the basket in a stunning display of traditional handicraft work.
Used for display only, this wonderful African tribal art ceremonial basket is one from my own personal collection of baskets from around the world that I've been actively collecting for more than 20 years. MUSEUM quality!
